Where It All Started

A dream that became reality

Overstrand Explorer began with nothing more than a love for the land and a hunger for adventure.

When we moved to the Overstrand in 2023, we thought we were simply changing our address. What we didn’t realise was that we were stepping into a whole new way of life. The rugged coastline, the wild fynbos, the endless gravel roads to who-knows-where — it all called to us. And once we started exploring, there was no turning back.

It all began with our first old Land Rover Discovery. She wasn’t just transport — she unlocked a whole new world. Weekends quickly turned into journeys, each track pulling us deeper into the Overstrand’s raw beauty. We climbed mountains where the wind cut sharp and cold, and stood on ridges with 360° views, thinking: this is living.

The best adventures often begin when you take the road less travelled.
